NOVY HRAD U KUNRATIC

Royal Gothic Castle Ruins
The castle built in 1411 by Master Kříž as a country seat to king Václav IV. Besieged by Prague Hussites in 1420, later conquered and set on fire. The ruins were perfectly preserved up to the 19th century, above-ground frames taken down in 1881.

Expositions

Areal with preserved grounds, palace basement and a part of the quadrangular housing building. Outstanding fosse quarried in rock and remains of the entrance part. Unbelievably well preserved remains of the besiegers' camp from 1420.
