Description (in short)

It gradually evolved from the connection of two buildings. The first building was purchased by Jan From Smiřice in 1573 and connected with the second building after 1603. Core of its Renaissance frontispiece with corner bastions has been preserved from the same time. Rebuilt and heightened in 1764-5. Seat of the Parliament of the Czech Republic today.

ExpositionsPreserved Gothic cellars of the former buildings, Renaissance frontispiece, arcade built-on galleries, painted girder ceilings in interiors. The first Prague defenestration's plan was decided here, among others.
