Description (in short)

Supreme-Baroque cathedral erected in 1704-56 by Jessuites, on the place of the former St. Nicholas Gothic Church. The construction was realized by father and then son Dietzenhofer and A. Lurago. This building is considered one of the most precious ones North of the alps.

ExpositionsCathedral interior (paintings and sculptures by famous Baroque artists), tower interior, exhibition "The Music of Prague Choirs" with several interesting original musical instruments. View over the Prague centre.
Interesting detailBaroque bell tower of the former Jessuite church was finished in 1756 as a standalone object. It never belonged to the church but it was always under the city property. It also served as a city warning post untill the beginning of the 20th century. Today maintaned by PIS.
