The villa was designed by Josef Chochol, famous Czech cubist architect. It was realized by the builder Bedřich (Frederick) Kovařovic to his cost. The construction lasted between 1912 and 1913. This building is one of the leading cubist architectural works. The main characteristics are for example the dynamic face of building and expressive risalit in the rear of the building. There is a garden, which is also in the Cubist style, as well as a remarkable fence around it.
